Digital submission instructions:
Please send us an audition video (cell phone recording is fine!) that includes:
- Your name, pronouns, and voice part (if you know it)
- Yourself singing a song of your choosing, acapella (no longer than 1-minute in length)
- Yourself singing a scale starting on the note “G” and ascending to your highest comfortable note, and descending to your lowest comfortable note. You are welcome/encouraged to play a starting pitch or chord for yourself.
Important Dates and Details:
- Deadline for audition submissions is August 9, 2025
- The season begins on September 8, 2025 (first rehearsal)
- Rehearsals: Monday nights 6:30-8:30 pm at Montclair Presbyterian Church in Oakland
- Season follows the 2025-2026 academic calendar, with holiday breaks
- Member Dues: $30 per month/ 8 month-long season (sliding scale $10-30 for BIPOC folks)
- Access/ Covid: We will sing in a well-ventilated space wearing N95-grade singing masks. We work to create a low/ no scent environment. Our rehearsal and performance spaces are ADA accessible.
- Attendance: In order to foster a cohesive choir ensemble, we ask that folks be available and commit to the season’s schedule, and miss no more than 4 rehearsals during the season. Rehearsals will be recorded and made available for folks who miss rehearsal due to illness.
